Garmin Fenix 8 Pro and high-end watches get vibration bug fix in Beta 20.23

Ana sayfa / News

Garmin has released a quiet but important update for its top-tier smartwatches. Beta Version 20.23 is now rolling out globally, targeting devices like the Fenix 8 Pro, Fenix 8, Fenix E, and Tactix 8. The update specifically addresses a vibration issue that occurred during charging, restoring proper haptic feedback for users enrolled in the Beta Program.

After the recent Beta 20.20 release, which patched three known issues, Garmin is continuing its beta track with a more focused update. Beta Version 20.23 is available over-the-air (OTA) and should already be installed on 100% of eligible smartwatches, according to Garmin.

If your device hasn’t updated yet, you can manually install it by going to:
Settings → System → Software Update → Check for Updates

The fix corrects a bug where vibrations would stop working while the device was charging a small but frustrating glitch that affected notifications and alerts.

Phantom Blade Zero release date reveal set for The Game Awards on PS5 and PC

Phantom Blade Zero’s release date will be revealed at The Game Awards 2025, confirming its PC and PS5 launch with fast-paced action combat.

Here are the devices currently supported by the latest beta build:

This update is part of the ongoing beta cycle leading toward the next stable release. While it restores proper vibration feedback, Garmin confirmed that features like Aviation, Dive, and ECG remain disabled in this build.

Garmin’s recent cadence suggests a stable firmware update may be close. The company typically rolls out one or two more beta builds before locking in the final software for wide release.

Until then, users can expect continued testing under the Beta Program. For now, Beta Version 20.23 ensures that the Fenix 8 Pro and its siblings don’t stay silent when plugged in and that’s one less annoyance for high-end watch owners to deal with.
